Henry Moore Foundation visit

Wayne and the girls met up with Michelle and Chloe and spent the day at the Henry Moore Foundation.

Blogging this visit mostly with photos, including anything that I can recall the girls told me about the sculptures…

All his sculptures were scaled down and created in plaster, then a full size model would be made out of polystyrene. After which the real thing would be created from plaster, wood, stone or bronze.

Henry Moore’s workshops were set among fields of sheep and he loved working in this environment and that is why sheep still continue to graze on the fields amongst his work.
