Camping

Thanks to Wills and Kate, we had an extra day off this weekend so Friday we made our way to Mundelsey near Cromer for a camping weekend with the beans πŸ™‚ We stayed at a small campsite in Norfolk and only a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach πŸ™‚

After we had all pitched up, we took a late afternoon stroll along the beach, the girls (and Skipper) not being able to resist a paddle! We also managed to pick up some geocaches on the way πŸ™‚

I had pre-prepared a lentil bolognese for dinner so that was easy πŸ™‚ Spent the rest of the evening chatting whilst the girls played happily.

Saturday we visited Blickling Hall which was stunning. After a look around the Hall, we took a walk round the lake on a geocache hunt and found quite a few πŸ™‚ Only downside was that taking the route round the lake meant we didn’t have time to go through the gardens which looked beautiful. Upside is its not so far away that we can’t go back again πŸ™‚ Finished off with a well deserved ice cream then back to the site for a bbq.

Sunday started with pancakes, thank you daddybean πŸ™‚ the girls did some GP french πŸ™‚ followed by a trip to the beach, meeting up with LovelyEm and Jax. The weather was very kind to us, although it was quite windy! The children had a great time building sandcastles, playing cricket, flying kites, and paddling πŸ™‚ Back at the site, we had chips for tea before waving goodbye to our visitors (not before tempting Em with the prospect of owning her very own folding camper ;))

Monday morning packed up and came home. Would definitely return to the same campsite ideal if you just want a couple of days at the beach car free πŸ™‚
