Being organised really helps

After a busy weekend sorting and organising, we spent Sunday afternoon geocaching :o)

Our organising seems to be helping – the girls have been very busy this week. Monday morning was an artetc day, blogged here. Tuesday Skye did more English, Poppy read, worked on times tables and did some of her GP Junior English. We did some French together and dipped into the quiz jar over lunch ๐Ÿ™‚

Popped up to Woodgreen in the afternoon with Skipper, the girls had a look at the dogs, taking a bit of a shine to a puppy pug x named Puggly! He was cute but a bit yappy!

Skye had scouts in the evening and they had a treasure hunt round the village, apparently their team didn’t do very well they just couldn’t seem to find any of the letters they were supposed to find, despite having coordinates – they didn’t work!

Wednesday was historyetc day, blogged by Skye here.
Before going to historyetc the girls did a little more Engish and reading. Left Skipper home-alone so took him for a walk when we got back, spotting about 3 of the letters Skye had been looking for on her Scouts treasure hunt! I can only assume sending a group of 6 girls out together meant there was more chatting and giggling going on rather than actually looking for clues! ๐Ÿ™‚

Skye is going to District Camp this weekend with the Scouts so we started to pack her bag for that before taking the girls to Mum and Dad’s in the for a sleepover. Thursday they started to blog historyetc, Poppy did some English Grammar and reading and Skye did a bit more GP English but no reading – need to get to the library for next book in Twilight series and The Gift by James Patterson which we have had on reserve and is now in ๐Ÿ™‚ They had a bit of fun washing each others hair and styling it ๐Ÿ™‚ After work I collected the girls and we visited Nanny and Uncle Dean as their dog has been unwell and is being put to sleep so they wanted to say their goodbyes to her ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Home later than anticipated and finished packing Skye’s bag, complete with sweet stash! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Friday Skye finished blogging, C joined the girls and they spent a couple of hours on Geography with Wayne looking at geographical evidence. After lunch Wayne took Skye, Poppy and C swimming getting home only just in time for a quick pizza tea then off to scout camp! ๐Ÿ™‚

Poppy asked if she could stay up late, we agreed, knowing that she doesn’t do staying up late particularly easily, by 9.10pm she was falling asleep on the sofa!

Saturday I pottered about in the greenhouse, planting out out tomato plants – I seem to have rather a lot – 25 i think :/ not quite sure what I am going to do with them all!!

We popped into town, picked up a couple of books for Skye from the library, The Gift and New Moon – she will be a very happy girl ๐Ÿ™‚ Called into Woodgreen on the way home to pick up some treats for Skipper.

Saturday afternoon, A came over for a sleepover with Pops. They had a lovely time together and were asleep by 10pm! Wayne went off to the pub for a school reunion and got home at 3am then insisted on telling me all about it until i asked him to stop talking so i could go back to sleep!!

Sunday Pancakes for breakfast ๐Ÿ™‚ A’s Dad collected her reasonably early as she had dance rehearsals. Poppy and I played Labyrinth – Poppy won ๐Ÿ™‚ We drove to a nearby carboot to discover that it was cancelled so turned round and went home, had lunch then went up to the allotment which was in need of some water. I planted some more spinach and have aubergine seeds too but need to start them off in pots in the greenhouse. Wayne and Poppy walked home – it takes about 40 mins to walk home from the allotment through fields so quite pleasant, spotting a young muntjack deer as they walked ๐Ÿ™‚

By the time they got home, it was time to collect Skye from camp – she had a great time, although she said it wasn’t as much fun as last year as they didn’t get chance to do rafting ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Their leader said the girls (all 4 of them!!) were the most troublesome – mainly due to giggling and chatting until 2am! Depsite being incredibly tired, she couldn’t resist reading a few pages of New Moon!! ๐Ÿ™‚
